Save Our Seas Print - Support NWF's Oil Spill Cleanup

Im sure you are familiar with Katie Daisy's work and her Etsy store The Wheatfield as her work has cropped up on Decor8Oh Joy! and several other favorite blogs.

Even though I am on the other side of the world it really saddens me to see the devastation that has been unfolding due to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Katie has decided to do her bit for the cause and will be donating 50% of profits from the sale of her 'Save Our Seas' prints to the NWF.

You can find out what the NWF are doing to help here and buy prints of her beautiful 'Save Our Seas' water colour at The Wheatfield Etsy store.

Les Ciseaux by Eva Juliet

I seem to have a growing list of things which would be just perfect for the number one thing on my wish list...a craft/studio/office space of course!

This is the latest addition to my Etsy list of favourites 'for the studio' which I am sure you will heart yourselves once you've found your way to Eva's shop here.

You have probably seen Eva Juliet's prints before because I remember seeing this Button print everywhere on the blogs not so long ago. I really admire Eva's drawing style and I have a romantic picture of her in my head illustrating the original carefully and beautifully with pen and ink at a lovely old desk (vivid imagination, i know!).

Do you too think about the artist and how your piece was created when buying something handmade?

I think thats the beauty of Etsy and the handmade movement, I feel like there's a real connection with the creatives behind our favourtite products.

Polymorphia by Crystal Jackson

I adore the colours Crystal works with and I love the delicate quality to her work. It also fasinates me thinking about 'the small, sometimes hidden elements that make up our world' which she talks about as her inspiration.

I have written and re-written this post and nothing I say seems to do Crystals work justice so Im just going to point you to her etsy page so you can make your own mind up. Im sure you'll find her prints enchanting too :)

Have a lovely Monday all...

I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow in Oxford which will be really lovely. I've made a sweet baby quilt for the occasion and have just finished embroidering a little label to attach. I think I shall make a drawstring bag to gift it in so I should probably get on with that this afternoon...

Thoughtful Day Clip Art

love the world of blogs, you are never more than a click away from something new and wonderful.

When I have some spare time (and even when I don't to be honest!) I love nothing more that clicking around on some of my favourite blogs to see where they take me and off I go down the rabbit hole.

Today is no different and look at what I found...something truely brilliant I'm sure you'll agree!

I discovered It's The Small Things via Pin It Forward with sfgirlbybay who introduced me to Sunday Suppers which led me to find this fun invitation package by Thoughtful Day who designed these free clip art stamps following the circus theme for Martha Stewart Weddings. I then popped over to 100 Layer Cake to see the beautiful pics from Jenna & Jon's wedding! ....phew, hope that wasn't to confusing!

Let me break it down for you ;)

Click here to get your stamps and here and here to see the wedding that inspired them - got it? ;

Owlphabet by Gingiber

I'm not sure I really have to tell you how much I loooove this poster, the 26 unique owl illustrations pretty much speak for themselves don't they.

I must say, I am pretty good at my ABC's by now but I still think there is a place in my life for this print. Perhaps in that studio space I keep dreaming about....

psst...Stacie of Gingiber has a blog here

Free 'Ripe Type' Font Family

I am the first to admit I have a slight addiction to loading new fonts onto my laptop. Some days I can spend literally hours browsing fonts in-fact!

Thankfully there are some really wonderful free fonts out there so I don't always have to shell out the big bucks when I need a font fix ;)

My latest find/obsession is this really nice, clean, serif font called Ripe Type which is designed by Cameron Sweeney.

The whole font family is available for you to download here if you like. Don't you just love it? :)
